Lawson D'Ath and skipper Marc Richards scored either side of half-time to earn promotion-chasing Northampton a comfortable 2-0 victory over lowly Yeovil.
The visitors made things difficult for the Cobblers early on and twice went close.Harry Cornick raced clear but goalkeeper Adam Smith quickly averted the danger, while George Thomas turned and shot wide from the edge of the box.
In between those chances, top scorer Richards planted a header straight at Yeovil keeper Chris Weale from a good position.
The visitors went close again when Josh Sheehan forced Smith to save at his near post, but it was Cobblers who made the breakthrough in the 35th minute.
A quick counter attack ended with Alfie Potter putting D'Ath away and he took the ball around Weale before slipping it into the unguarded net.
Sheehan and Cornick had a couple of half chances as Yeovil looked to get back on level terms before the break, but they fell further behind in the 57th minute when Nicky Adams' low cross was turned in by Richards.
George Thomas flashed a shot wide and Cornick saw his header hit the bar, but Yeovil's challenge didn't seriously threaten Northampton, who recorded their fourth straight win to maintain their excellent run.
