Hylton sees off Cobblers
Top scorer Danny Hylton struck twice as Oxford came from behind to beat Northampton 3-1.
Cobblers took a fourth-minute lead when Enda Stevens got forward and exchanged passes with Joel Byrom before finding the bottom corner of the net
Cobblers went close again when Ryan Clarke saved from Kaid Mohamed.
Oxford's first real chance fell to Tyrone Barnett who shot wide while Alfie Potter tested Jordan Archer who did well to palm his effort away from the top corner.
Mohamed should have done better when he rounded Clarke but his shot was deflected wide before two goals in as many minutes from Hylton changed the game.
Oxford equalised in the 25th minute when Danny Rose crossed for the unmarked Hylton, whose header looped over the stranded Archer. Ninety seconds later Potter burst into the box and was brought down by John-Joe O'Toole
Hylton coolly converted the ensuing spot-kick for his 10th goal of the campaign.Oxford went in search of another goal and Joe Riley's speculative volley was superbly turned over by Archer
Mohamed had an effort blocked before the break and after the restart Lawson D'Ath burst into the box but fired over.But Oxford increased their lead in the 50th minute when Potter's cross was deflected over Archer and into the far corner of the net
Toney hit the post with a header but the woodwork came to Cobblers' rescue when Michael Collins' free-kick came back off the upright.O'Toole had a header saved by Clarke while substitute Emile Sinclair was twice off target
Collins was denied by Archer in stoppage-time but Oxford had already done enough to end their poor run at Sixfields
