We're not moving -
Leave us alone!!!
The Cobblers have been reported to have been in talks with Luton Town and Wimbledon with the possibility of a merger and a move to a new stadium in Milton Keynes.

Charles Koppel, Wimbledons extremely unpopular chairman would love to move the club and Milton Keynes was on the agenda until the F.A. stepped in and blocked his plans. Wimbledon fans want to move back to the Plough Lane site where recently a supermarket bid was rejected by Merton Council.

Luton Town however have denied the rumours and have released a statement on the situation -

"Supporters may have read rumours about a three-way merger between Luton Town, Wimbledon and Northampton Town to form a new club based in Milton Keynes. There is no truth in this story at all."
"Luton Town is firmly committed to building its own new stadium and regaining its place in the higher reaches of English football."
"We hope it will begin with promotion back to Division Two in a few months time. We are Luton Town - and we're staying that way."

The situation at Northampton Town is still the same with a bid from John Fashanu's company World Wide Winners and his plans are to buy the stadium and keep the club in the town.
