Ellis, a former QPR director, finalised a deal to takeover the Cobblers yesterday evening. The deal was a surprise to many Cobblers fans after news leaked only two weeks ago speculating the takeover.
Ellis is ambitious to take the club further, his plans include the redevlopment of Sixfields, big signings and hopefully promotion.
It's welcome news for the club, to ease pressure on the financial worries hanging in the air. The massive effort from supporters to support the SOS scheme should continue.
Meanwhile on the pitch Town travel to local neighbours Cambridge United for tomorrows FA Cup 2nd round tie. Victory would be massive and a Premiership club in the next round would be even better.
