Giovanni Di Stefano could become the new owner of the Cobblers as early as Thursday this week if the two parties can sign and seal the agreement. At the EGM directors agreed to distribute existing shares and issue unallocated shares paving the way for the Di Stefano bid to go ahead.
What will happen next is a mystery with Tony Clarke M.P. an fans representative on the board saying he will walk out if controversial lawyer Di Stefano walks in.
At the last public meeting Barry Stonehill had already said "Our legal advisors told us we did not need an EGM but we called the meeting to remove any doubt"
