Northampton Town captain Andy Holt has insisted he is happy to play anywhere on the pitch to help the team. The 32-year-old utility man, more accustomed to a defensive or midfield role, featured as a forward in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Cheltenham.
"I will literally play wherever the gaffer [Ian Sampson] says," Holt told BBC Radio Northampton.
"We're obviously short of a bit of presence up front at the moment and that's why he put me there."
He added: "He wanted me to mix it up and win a few headers - and if he wants me there again I'll do it."
The Cobblers have moved up to 14th place in the League Two table, and Holt claims the team is now mounting a serious challenge for the play-offs.
"We've won three, drawn one and lost one of the last five games, and that's good form," he added.
"If we can keep that up for the rest of the season we'll be there or thereabouts."
Northampton face a league trip to Gillingham on Saturday, kick-off 1500 GMT.
