Despite another disappointing campaign on the pitch, an average of 4,604 people have come through the turnstiles at Sixfields, coincidentally the exact same average crowd as last season when Northampton placed 8th in the attendance table.
Those figures reflect well on Cobblers supporters who have seen just five home wins to date this season but also on the club’s well-thought pricing structure and initiatives.
Hopefully the positive signs of recovery seen under Aidy Boothroyd will boost the numbers for the final four home fixtures, starting with visit of Plymouth Argyle this weekend where the visitors are likely to bring a healthy contingent of away supporters for another crucial game at the bottom of the table.
