Despite trailing 4-1 with just minutes remaining of the game manager Aidy Boothroyd was not too concerned afterwards.
He told the Chronicle & Echo: 'I thought we showed a better understanding, we used the skills that we have in terms of the strength and pace and power we have, and I thought we made good decisions.'
Young goalkeeper Dean Snedker performed well between the posts but Boothroyd confirmed he is unlikely to be in first-team contention when the season starts.
