Northampton manager Ian Sampson will name an unchanged squad as the Cobblers look to continue a fine week with a win over Chesterfield at Sixfields. The Carling Cup heroes built on their famous win at Anfield with a home win over Bradford in League Two on Saturday and Sampson is expected to keep faith with the same XI.
Centre-half Dean Beckwith remains sidelined with a thigh injury so on-loan Newcastle defender Ben Tozer will keep his place and look to continue his 100% record in the Cobblers shirt after scoring at the weekend. Leon McKenzie is fit again after missing the Liverpool win and could come in if Sampson decides to rest in-form Billy McKay.
The Cobblers will continue to be without skipper Craig Hinton and Tadgh Purcell who both have knee injuries while Marcus Hall is also out with a knee injury.
