Rotherham persuaded Steve Evans to leave promotion-bound Crawley Town towards the end of the campaign with the promise of a healthy budget to spend this summer and Evans has already made a start with the capture of striker Daniel Nardiello and a bid for Peterborough defender Mark Little which has been turned down.
"It's not just going to be players arriving for no sums, there's a couple next week that we'll be offering money for," Evans told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"The chairman and his board have been wonderfully supportive in that way."
With Northampton manager Aidy Boothroyd being told he will have a 'top-six' transfer pot to play with in pre-season and similar promises being made at relegated Chesterfield it all makes for an interesting summer in League Two.
