Ronnie Moore is finding the going tough in his second spell as manager of the Millers and was the subject of calls for his head after the Shrimps game.
He came out fighting however, telling the press that it would only be fair to judge him when he has his own side out on the field rather than inherited players.
Looking ahead to the Cobblers clash on Tuesday he commented: "We need leaders, we need men now who are going to say 'hey come on'.
"Have we got enough in that dressing room to lift them? If you look at the last few games when we have conceded one goal we have conceded another in the next two or three minutes.
"We have keep two banks of four, and keep it safe, and weather the storm, but I've said this the last two or three weeks."
