A second-half brace from substitute Marc Richards kept Rochdale's faint play-off hopes alive. He opened his account just after the break (47 minutes) when he raced onto a pass before rounding the keeper and slotting the ball into an empty net.

Richards doubled his team's lead 12 minutes later, picking his spot from 20 yards.
