16 clubs have been handed a bye into the next round leaving the remaining clubs to be split into four regional sections.
Northampton are in the Northern Section East and could face fallen giants Sheffield Wednesday.
The draw will be made on Saturday 14 August with ties taking place in the week commencing 30 August.
