The central defender will provide cover for injuries during his spell at Sixfields.
Manager Gary Johnson told the official club website: "He will give us some more experience in an important position and he will improve the squad.
"We've taken him for a month and we'll see where we go from there."
The 26-year-old was a regular for Peterborough last season as they won promotion to the Championship.
