Bradford's average attendance has been the biggest in the division since 2007/08, some very well-priced season tickets offsetting some lean years on the pitch for the Bantams.
Now Portsmouth have taken on the mantle with over 32,700 fans attending their first two league games of the season.
Northampton's opening attendance of 4,319 for the game against Newport County was down on last season's average of 4,785 but the Cobblers will hope to boost that with a succesful season and some fixtures against the likes of Pompey and Oxford United where the away support will be plentiful.
