Cobblers boss Ian Sampson knows the situation is not ideal, but is glad to still have Osman on board ahead of the 2010/11 npower League Two campaign.
"Abdul has signed a week-to-week contract and that will enable him to play for us," Sampson told the Northampton Chronicle & Echo. "
It means we can give him a week's notice and he can give us a week's notice if he wants to leave.
"It's the best situation we can have, and all credit to Abdul he has been fantastic for the five days he has trained with us."
