The fixture is the reverse of a remarkable game at Sixfields in September when Stanley led 4-1 and 5-2 before running out 5-4 winners.
That was John Coleman's first game back as Accrington manager and, after seeing his side draw a blank against Bury in midweek, he wants the hosts to be more 'ruthless' on Saturday afternoon.
Coleman told his club's official website: "We have got to believe we will score goals and win games because the squad is good enough, we haven’t become a bad team overnight and we have quality in our side."
Chris Wilder, meanwhile, now into his second year as Cobblers boss, has new signings Tom Newey and Billy Bodin available to add to a squad that has taken 10 points from a possible 12 in January.
Update - A preliminary pitch inspection will take place at 8:30am after a day of work clearing the pitch at the Store First Stadium.
