Chris Hackett and John-Joe O'Toole have recovered from illness and will return for Northampton against Tranmere.
They have trained after Hackett missed the 2-0 defeat at Plymouth and O'Toole was only well enough to be a second-half substitute.
Top scorer Marc Richards remains out with an Achilles injury and is not expected back until next month.
Joel Byrom is also suspended and serves the final game of his two-match ban.
Jason Koumas misses out for struggling Tranmere with a hamstring injury.
Boss Micky Adams believes the veteran Welsh midfielder could miss as long as six-to-seven weeks with the issue which forced him off before half-time in the loss to Dagenham.
Adams' midfield options could be depleted further if Steve Jennings, who has not trained all week because of knocks to his back and knee, cannot prove his fitness in time.
Cole Stockton is back with the club following a hernia operation but is still some way off a return, so he remains on the sidelines with Matt Hill (Achilles) and Marcus Holness (knee)
