Northampton Town manager Ian Sampson tells BBC Radio Northampton: "We've got a big six games coming up, and Notts County are a team who are going for the championship.
"Maybe (we want) a little bit of a revenge after the defeat at Meadow Lane.
"They seem to have the best players and the results since Christmas have been excellent. I'd say they're the best team (in the division).
"We're not setting up to defend, we'll be trying to get our foothold in the game nice and early. I think there'll be one or two goals scored."
Notts County manager Steve Cotterill told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I think in the dressing room we expect to do well and want to do well, I think that's the important thing.
"As regards what happens in the next couple of games or the next couple of weeks it's pretty irrelevant at the moment, as we are not talking about doing something in one game.
"It's about us staying focused, keeping our heads down, doing what we've done until now and work hard at Northampton on Saturday."
