Zander Diamond is expected to replace the suspended Ryan Cresswell when Northampton host Morecambe.
Defender Cresswell was dismissed in the Cobblers' 5-1 win at Accrington on Saturday, their fourth straight win.
Boss Chris Wilder - who won Sky Bet League Two's Manager of the Month award for January - has named an unchanged line up for their past five games but it will change with Cresswell banned.
Ian Morris (knee) and Kaid Mohamed (foot) are sidelined but Tom Newey is available.
Morecambe will assess Stewart Drummond ahead of the trip.
Midfielder Drummond has missed the last couple of weeks with a swollen knee and requires a late fitness test.
Elsewhere, goalkeeper Barry Roche has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing hip surgery with Andreas Arestidou set for a run in the first-team.
