Morris worry for Cobblers
Northampton midfielder Ian Morris is rated as 50/50 for the visit of Exeter.
Morris has missed the last three matches with a groin injury but is making good progress ahead of the weekend and could return to the fold against the Grecians.
Winger Ishmel Demontagnac serves the second game of his three-match suspension having seen red in the Cobblers' Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at MK Dons.
Lewis Hornby has suffered a setback in his recovery from a back problem and now faces a further spell on the sidelines, alongside long-term absentees Kelvin Langmead (knee) and Alex Nicholls (broken leg).
Exeter are waiting on striker John O'Flynn.
The Irish forward missed the Grecians 1-1 draw with Dagenham last weekend with a hamstring injury and manager Paul Tisdale believes he will be "close to being fit" but they will assess the former Barnet men in the build up to kick- off.
If O'Flynn is passed fit it means Tisdale has a full squad at his disposal and he could hand starts to midfielders David Wheeler and Jimmy Keohane.
The pair's half-time introductions helped the Grecians come from behind to earn a draw against the Daggers and they are competing with the likes of Matt Grimes and Aaron Davies for a start at Sixfields.
