Stewart Murdoch and Tom Newey are expected to make their Northampton debuts against AFC Wimbledon after signing on loan.
Midfielder Murdoch and left-back Newey have joined from Fleetwood and Oxford respectively until January.
Lee Collins could return after missing the last three games with a trapped nerve in his foot and Darren Carter is also available having missed the defeat to Luton with a back injury.
Lewis Hornby (tendinitis), Ian Morris (knee), Evan Horwood (tendinitis), Marc Richards (hamstring) and Zander Diamond (ankle) are all out.
Frankie Sutherland will be added to the AFC Wimbledon squad.
The 20-year-old midfielder has joined the Dons on a one-month loan from QPR having battled back to fitness after suffering a cruciate injury while playing for Leyton Orient last year.
Sutherland replaces Harry Pell in the travelling party after he joined Grimsby on loan in a bid to get some more game time.
