After the capture of Cheltenham Town midfielder Jason Taylor earlier in the week, Ricky Holmes of Portsmouth and Brendan Moloney of Yeovil have linked up with the Cobblers for one month and the rest of the season respectively.
Wilder is keen for wideman Holmes to 'get in the box' on a regular basis while he wants Moloney to solve a problem position at right-back.
Once again it is a busy January transfer window for Town with their manager being well-backed by chairman David Cardoza to make a similar improvement to the squad that he managed when taking over at Sixfields last season.
Daniel Alfei has returned to Swansea City, Ricky Ravenhill also looks to be on his way out of the exit door and Kelvin Langmead has turned down a loan switch to the Conference.
