"I won't hide the fact that Northampton have made an offer," the Burton Albion forward, quoted in the Derby Evening Telegraph, has said.
"But I'm contracted to Burton and I hope to see my contract out.
"I've been here six years and enjoyed every moment of it – but I'm also not going to lie and say I'm happy to be sitting on the bench."
Big-spending Blue Square Premier side Crawley are also thought to be keen on Harrad, whose contract with Burton is up in the summer.
The 26-year-old has been with the Brewers since 2005 and has netted 10 times so far this season.
