Northampton assistant boss Malcolm Crosby has revealed there is unlikely to be any further transfer activity at Sixfields this summer.
The Cobblers were hoping to bolster their squad this week, with a striker at the top of manager Ian Sampson`s wishlist. However, Crosby told the Northampton Chronicle and Echo: "At the moment I can`t see that happening, so we move on and just get on with the players we`ve already got here.
"We understand how tight things are everywhere and we would obviously like to get a couple of players in because you always want to improve your squad.
"But if everybody's fit it's a good little squad here, and one that can do very well in this league."
Crosby continued: "I wouldn't have thought anybody would be leaving and we know there's no money to buy players, so if we do get someone in it will have to be on a free transfer."
