A battling away display earned the Cobblers a vital point in their fight against relegation at Portsmouth on Sunday and left caretaker manager Andy King feeling 'proud' of his team after the game.
"We came here with a team put together at the last minute. I thought we were poor in the first half and I told them so at half-time. But in the second half we were excellent," was King's verdict after his second match in charge following Aidy Boothroyd's axing.
Home boss Richie Barker was left to reflect on a frustrating afternoon for his side but looked to the positives after the game.
"We've kept a clean sheet for two successive games, which this team hasn't done this season.
"That's two games unbeaten and four points in three days, and people have to realise we are not in a position where we can turn up and assume we will win football matches."
