The Cobblers remain at the foot of League Two, level on points with Dagenham & Redbridge having played a game more, and one point behind a revitalised Plymouth Argyle.
Above those three teams there is then a four point gap to Hereford and further up, with his team on 29 points, Sanchez feels Barnet are now certs to finish above their beaten opponents.
"It was a six-point game," he said, quoted on London 24.
"This win puts Northampton eight points behind us and I can’t see them winning three games more than us to make that up.
"They’re playing well but not getting the results and that can be draining, so we’d like to think that’s one team who will finish below us."
