Northampton boss Aidy Boothroyd says the coming month will be up there with the biggest of his managerial career
Town, who are now back at the bottom of the Football League following Dagenham’s win at Morecambe on Tuesday night, play eight games in March.
Boothroyd who guided Watford to promotion to the Premier League in 2006 knows how important the next four weeks will be in the context of the season.
“I wouldn’t say it was the biggest but I’d certainly think it’s as important as any other month at any other club I’ve ever worked at,” said Boothroyd, who takes his team to Cheltenham on Saturday.
“When you have games coming as fast as what they are, it’s very important that you don’t look too far ahead and you focus on the next game.
“The next game is Cheltenham, who are up at the top and they’re up at the top on merit – they’re a good team – so we’ve got to come up with a plan which exposes their weaknesses and highlights our strengths.”
For everyone involved with the Cobblers this is the month that will decide which way the club is going starting with Saturday's tough trip to Gloucestershire.
