"We won't be taking Ramon Manak's trial with us any further and we let him know that straight away when we got back from Ibiza," said the Cobblers boss.
"Joe Howe is still training with us and we will probably leave making any decision on him until after the Coventry game. He can play in several positions, his main position is probably on the right hand side but he can do a good job in the centre as well.
"Both lads conducted themselves very well in Ibiza but unfortunately for Ramon we are quite well covered in his position. We wish Ramon the best of luck for the future but we only want to bring in players that are better than the ones that we have already got. They must add to the squad, either with their ability as a specialist or with their flexibility.
Gray also spoke of Fred Murray who has gone to Orient for a trial.
"Fred Murray has joined Leyton Orient on trial and hopefully he will be able to earn a contract there. He is a free agent and Fred is free to do as he wishes.
"He has been out for such a long time he needs to prove his match fitness and that's why he's gone to Orient on trial.
