"It was a deserved point and all credit to the players, they showed great character and belief especially when we were down to 10 men,'' said Stuart Gray.
"We didn't get a decision from the officials and we had to take a gamble late on when we were down to 10 men.
"We had three attackers in the end with just one-on-one at the back. It was a bit of a gamble but it paid off and we got our just reward.''
Huddersfield boss Lee Clark was frustrated after his side dropped two points with the last kick of the game in the 1-1 draw.
"The players are very disappointed in the dressing-room and that shows just how far we've come in recent weeks," said Clark.
"We've thrown away two points by not being professional enough in the last few minutes. We needed to see the game out but their equaliser came from us overplaying when we needed to keep hold of the ball.
"We didn't capitalise on our final pass, being 1-0 up and with them down to 10 men and I'm gutted for the players.
"We didn't play as well as last week against Oldham but it was still a good away performance at a place like Northampton."
