This weekend saw another excellent victory on the pitch, 2-1 at Notts County, but also impassioned pleas by the club staff, via the official website, and manager Chris Wilder in his after-match comments at Meadow Lane.
That leaves little more that can be said or done by staff and supporters who have worked so hard in recent weeks, the staff without pay (just weeks before Christmas) and the supporters, through the NTFC Trust, by fund-raising, meetings with the various parties involved and trying to highlight the current plight.
But those efforts will all be in vain if agreements cannot be reached very, very soon and it has now gone beyond the stage where good results from Chris Wilder and his team have become any kind of light relief as they themselves have to be looking at their alternative options for the future as their livelihoods are at stake.
The official club website is currently advertising huge bargains to be had on 'Black Friday' for merchandise and the like but the phrase could yet have a much darker meaning for the Cobblers.
