After Saturday's narrow success against Plymouth Argyle it looked as though the Cobblers would be forced to settle for a goalless draw as an improving Bristol Rovers side came to Sixfields.
Having seen Bayo Akinfenwa substituted at half-time, boss Aidy Boothroyd saw Ben Harding score a dramatic late winner to keep Town within one point of Burton Albion and the third automatic promotion place.
The Cobblers boss will have been pleased that his side managed to do so without their top goalscorer and also that they once again scored a late goal, a positive feature of recent performances.

Boothroyd told the official NTFC website after the game: "As long as you win the game it doesn't matter when you win it."
