Kelvin Langmead has apologised for his part in Saturday’s unlcky defeat to Gillingham.
“We were just absolutely gutted in that dressing room,” said the centre-back. “We fought so hard to get back in to it, we deserved something from the game but mistakes have cost us.
“Of course I’ve got to hold my hands up for the parts I played in their goals. Giving away two penalties is nowhere near good enough and I have got to take it on the chin.
“I’ll hold my hands up, I’ve said sorry and I’ll work hard and hopefully we will start winning games too.”
And a crestfallen Langmead admitted his goal counted for nothing considering his involvement in the home side’s goals.
“I’m disappointed for them (the supporters),” he said. Over 200 fans made the trip.
