The midfielder continued his superb form with a crucial goal in the 2-1 victory at Bradford on Saturday.
Johnson is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a move away from Sixfields, but he insists he has no intention of leaving.
"My contract is up in the summer but I'm enjoying my football at the moment and I want to stay," he told Northampton's official website.
A run of four wins from five games has taken The Cobblers eight points clear of the relegation zone but Johnson knows this is no time for complacency.
"We are not safe yet and we know that we have got to keep going," he explained.
"We want to be in this league next season and if we keep getting results we will be."
