Last season’s surprise package when reaching the play-offs against a backdrop of financial problems, Stanley will again be led by John Coleman, the third longest-serving manager currently in the English game, behind only Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger after serving Accrington for 12 seasons.
His summer signings to date have included young striker Kurtis Guthrie and experienced former Shrewsbury midfielder Kevin McIntyre.
Pre-season preparations ended with a 1-0 defeat at Stockport County on Saturday and Coleman will be hoping his side can improve on last season’s away form, beginning at Sixfields on Saturday.
Stanley’s play-off charge was based on their excellent record at home while they won just three times on the road.
