Pools strong for Town test
Hartlepool manager Colin Cooper has virtually a full-strength squad to choose from for the home game with Northampton.
Cooper has no new injury or suspension worries as Pools look to bounce back from last week's defeat at Newport and chase a fourth straight home league win.
Midfield trio Antony Sweeney, Jonathan Franks and Brad Walker were all second-half substitutes at Newport and are among those pushing for recalls.
Teenage defender Dan Jones is Cooper's only unavailable player following knee surgery.
Northampton manager Aidy Boothroyd has confirmed winger Chris Hackett will start despite nursing a long-standing groin problem.
Hackett was forced off at half-time in last weekend's 1-0 victory over Fleetwood but is expected to play through the pain barrier.
Kevin Amankwaah, Matt Heath and Clive Platt are all back in training, although the game at Victoria Park could come too soon. Roy O'Donovan is still not ready to return from a hernia problem.
On-loan Brentford striker Luke Norris, who has scored five goals in six games for the Cobblers, will play after agreeing to stay at Sixfields until January 4.
