The striker made the move to Sixfields from Burton last week and after manager Ian Sampson made him his number one target, Harrad is keen to repay his faith with goals.
"I don't feel pressure. I've got two-and-a-half years here which I will see out without a doubt and once I'm settled in I'm confident I'll score goals," he told Press Association Sport.
"There are some good players here and they've made me feel welcome. I'd like to think I would be up there with the top scorers in the league if I'd played the last five or six games.
"I wasn't 100% fit when I played against Middlesbrough but scored two goals so if I'm out there on the pitch then I can tuck them away.
"Every striker sets a goal target and I have something in my mind. Hopefully I can meet that before the end of the season."
