Senior players back for Mariners
Grimsby manager Paul Hurst is expected to recall a host of senior players for the FA Cup second-round clash with Northampton.
Hurst played four youth team players in Town's FA Trophy victory over Coalville but they are set to make way, with Scott Kerr and Shaun Pearson among those likely to return.
Young striker Dayle Southwell will be involved after his midweek hat-trick and could be given an extended run in the side with Liam Hearn (knee) facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Andy Cook will play despite picking up a knock on Tuesday, handing Grimsby a boost as they chase a place in the third round for the first time since 2002/03.
Chris Hackett and Roy O'Donovan return to contention for Northampton.
Winger Hackett missed last weekend's 1-0 victory over Accrington as he served a one-match suspension while striker O'Donovan has been sidelined since mid-October having undergone a hernia operation.
But the Cobblers are without influential loanees Izale McLeod, who featured for MK Dons in the first round of the competition, and Stuart Dallas, who has been denied permission to play by parent club Brentford.
Long-term absentees Kelvin Langmead (knee), Lewis Hornby (back) and Alex Nicholls (broken leg) remain sidelined.
