"Overall, the tour was good for us," he said.
"The facilities we had for training were excellent and the trip itself was well organised.
"We had four full days out there, playing 2 games and training hard on the other days so there was no time when the lads were left to drift or were without a purpose.
"It was good for our fitness but now we are glad to be home and are looking forward to giving some of our fans the first chance to see us in action at Kettering on Wednesday night
"You don't want these sort of tours dragging on too long but I think ours has been the right length. We have had a good tempo to the week, the lads worked hard and looked after themselves well, and now we are ready to step up another gear as the season gets closer.
"We have got up and running this week and what pleased me was that we looked a very strong unit in both games. We looked fit and hungry and we scored goals from set plays.
"The main aim of the trip and the 2 games was to get some match fitness and we got that. Now we are back home and looking forward to more hard work."
