The Cobblers face Swindon tonighy in a match that could see Town pull further away from the drop zone and still have games in hand.
"If we put the effort and commitment in that we did on Saturday and get plenty of crosses and shots in, that lifts the crowd," said the Cobblers boss.
"It's the same if people are closing down and hustling people, and we will have to do that tomorrow night.
"Swindon are a big, strong physical side a bit like Stockport, and we have to be at it.
"Both teams will be going into the game with confidence as they have just had back-to-back 3-0 wins and we had a good win.
"But I have said it before, we don't fear anybody here at Sixfields. If we start like we did on Saturday and put Swindon under pressure then I have every confidence we will get a good win."
