The Cobblers have enjoyed a turnaround fortunes from two seasons spent near the foot of the basement division, the hard work of chairman David Cardoza, manager Aidy Boothroyd, players and staff being rewarded with a trip to Wembley.
Bradford City go into the game as slight favourites but Town were impressive in their semi-final win against Cheltenham and have a number of experienced players in their ranks as well as players who can cause plenty of problems for the opposition.
Boothroyd has been at pains to stress that this is just another game and, of course, he will take no comfort if the result goes against his side.
But the very fact that the Cobblers are in this position bodes well for the future, whatever the outcome of Saturday's game.
