Queens Park Rangers full-back Furlong and Peterborough United central defender Brisley have made a big impact since their move to Northampton with both players yet to taste defeat in League Two.
They were part of a Town side that moved to within a place of the play-off positions on Saturday with a 2-1 win against Hartlepool United that looked as though it may have been more one-sided after the hosts scored twice in the opening 21 minutes.
"At times we played really well, we were looking for a quick start and we got it but we took our foot off the gas a bit at 2-0," manager Chris Wilder told BBC Radio Northampton.
A trip to Cambridge United comes next for the Cobblers this coming Saturday with the U's having lost 3-1 at the Abbey Stadium against Portsmouth at the weekend.
