Like the Cobblers, Forest Green Rovers have won their last two games to breathe new optimism into the club with a vital league victory over York City last time out following on from the win over Maidenhead United which set up Saturday's fixture.
Boss Dave Hockaday has added to his squad with the loan signing of Crawley captain Adam Quinn on loan and the midfielder is eligible to play against Northampton.
Meanwhile Hockaday has also been boosted by the club's decision recently to revert their whole squad back to full-time status having experimented with a mixture of full and part-time players.
"It will make the world of difference," Dave Hockaday told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
"We can plans things better, create a better coaching environment and the players will be fitter."
