THE Cobblers will play Nottingham Forest at Sixfields on Good Friday evening as part of six changes to the fixture list for the coming season.
Four home matches have gone from Saturday to Friday primarily due to clashes with Saints' games, while the trips to Hartlepool and Bristol Rovers have also been moved.
Joining Forest on the list of Friday night games is Doncaster, which has been changed from September 8 to September 7, and Bournemouth, switched from December 22 to December 21.
The visit of Leyton Orient will now take place on January 25, rather than the 26th, with Forest now in town on March 21. All games will kick off at 7.45pm.
Away from home, Town have agreed to play at Hartlepool 24 hours earlier, the game there moving from February 23 to the 22nd.
The game at Bristol Rovers has been moved back a week, changing from its original date of Tuesday March 11, to Tuesday March 4.
Because of development work at the Memorial Stadium, this game will be played at Whaddon Road, home of Cheltenham Town FC and has now been moved to avoid a clash with the Cheltenham Gold Cup racing festival.
"In view of the seven clashes, we have decided to move some and have discussed this with the Saints, who are working to see what they can do," said a Cobblers spokesman. "That is something we have left with them, but our fixtures are now officially confirmed with the changes shown."
