The Trust's director representative on the Cobblers board, Tony Clarke MP, will formally invite Fashanu and other representatives of the Winners World Wide organisation to the Guildhall reception, which will also be attended by former FA chief executive Graham Kelly.
The reception, which runs from 2-6pm, is free to members of the public although a donation to Trust funds will be requested. A bar will be open all afternoon.
Brian Lomax, president of the Trust and its inaugural chairman, will set the scene. Other speakers will include Graham Kelly, current Trust chairman David Linnell, WALOC fanzine editor Rob Marshall, Tony Clarke MP and, hopefully, John Fashanu.
The reception will be preceded by a five-a-side tournament at Lings Forum (start 10.30am), contested by Trust sides from all over the country and local teams. Applications are still being invited from companies and organisations that would like to take part (cost £50 a team).
