As part of the new television deal agreed with the FA, the BBC will broadcast the draw live on BBC Two and Radio Five Live from 7pm.
"We're delighted to bring back the tradition of the FA Cup draw on Mondays," said BBC Sport's Mark Cole.
"We hope the new early evening show will generate a great interest for our audiences on TV, radio and online."
Northampton are one of 48 League One and Two clubs joining the competition at this stage alongside 32 Non-League sides.
Last season the Cobblers were broadcast live to a national audience away to Bishop's Stortford with Aidy Boothroyd's side going into the game at the foot of the Football League and prime candidates for a cup shock which they avoided thanks to goals from Danny Emerton and Luke Norris in a 2-1 win.
