The wait for a first league win goes on for Northampton Town after Ben Harding netted in the 95th minute for hosts Aldershot.
"We kept going and kept going and got our reward. I thought a draw was the least that we deserved," said boss Kevin Dillon.
"We need to score more goals as we are certainly creating the chances. If we had scored a couple of minutes earlier I think we could have gone on and won the game.
"Credit to Northampton, they dug in and they blocked everything. In the first half I thought we looked a bit tired and too many passes went astray."
Opposite number Ian Sampson was left to rue his side's failure to close out the game but was pleased with the response to last week's JPT defeat at Hartlepool, a performance described as a 'shambles' by the Cobblers manager.
