Confirmation was given today by Cobblers boss Gary Johnson that young defender Nana will be out for up to a year with a cruciate ligament injury.
Nana suffered the injury in the 3-0 win at Wimbledon last week, an injury for which the period of rehabilitation is a long one.
“It’s a horrible injury, it’s a long-term one and we’re disappointed with that,” said Johnson, who has confirmed he will enter the transfer market to bolster his Town squad this week.
Although Nana’s season is over and Byron Webster and Bas Savage are also on the injured list some good news is that Andy Holt is in light training and could join the squad sometime next week.
