Northampton Town full-back Liam Davis says that he will not stop looking to attack, despite his defensive duties. The 23-year-old switched from the left wing this season, and has impressed in the back-line, helping the Cobblers to three consecutive clean sheets.
Davis told BBC Look East: "I've got to think of the defence first, but if there's space, I'll gallop on.
"I'm still in the attacking mindset. I'm happy with the clean sheets but I feel better scoring."
Davis has scored once this season, in the Carling Cup defeat by Ipswich at Portman Road.
Northampton Town travel to League Two's bottom side, Barnet, on Saturday. Hereford United were also in 24th when they shocked the Cobblers at Sixfields to win 4-3.
"That will give us fuel for the [Barnet] game, and it'll remind us what teams below you can do, if you're complacent," said Davis.
