Northampton Town make the 30 mile trip to Kenilworth Road tomorrow for their FA Cup 1st round tie with Luton Town.
The game is important for both clubs and a positive result for either could kick start their season. The Cobblers are currently on a run of six games without a win and there is pressure on Gary Johnson to turn the fortunes of the club round.
Luton boss Gary Brabin is also under pressure to get the Hatters out of the Blue Square Conference this season after last season's heartbreak play-off final defeat to AFC Wimbledon at the 'City of Manchester' stadium.
Brabin is confident his men can claim the scalp of a league side, saying: “When we play to our maximum, have a full strength side out and are playing to the best of our ability then a lot of games are certainly winnable.”
Statistics are on the side of the Hatters however, as they have only ever lost one competitive home match to Northampton in the last 25 meetings at Kenilworth Road, while Luton have won 20 times.
The two clubs last clashed in the competition back in January 1961 where the Bedfordshire outfit won 4-0 at home. Their last clash came in September 2007 when the Hatters won 2-0 at home in the Johnstones Paint Trophy.
